ART: Russian Inspiration!

Our next art project is inspired in Russia!

Russia is the biggest country in the world.
St. Basil's Cathedral is a very famous cathedral in Moscow, the capital of Russia.
The cathedral, which was built in 1555-1560, has 8 colourful onion-shaped domes.

ART PROJECT
In this art project we are going to create our own version of St Basil's cathedral using overlapping shapes and a variety of patterns and lines.

Use contrasting colours to catch your eye. Make sure no white spots are shown behind!

ART VOCABULARY

  • Overlap: to cover part of an object with another to create the illusion of depth.
  • Pattern: repetition of lines and shapes.
  • Dome: a round roof with a circular base.
