Unit 4: Combustion (or burning)

EXPERIMENT!
This is a fun demonstration of how fire needs oxygen to burn.
Place two candles inside a jar and see which goes out first - the one in the smaller jar, or the larger jar?

FIRE BLANKETS
Fire blankets are used to extinguish a starting fire. The fire blanket is places over a fire to stop oxygen from the fire. Fire blankets are made of nonflammable materials, but you have to be careful when using them. Watch this video and learn how to use it well.

FIRE EXTINGUISHERS
Fire extinguishers are used to put out a fire. There are different types of fire extinguishers depending on the type of fire (solids, liquid or electrical equipment)
