KOI FISH


Koi fish are domesticated common carp that are kept for decorative purposes in outdoor ponds or water gardens. The word "koi" comes from Japanese and it means “carp“. 
In Japanese culture, koi fish symbolize prosperity, good fortune or luck. They are also associated with perseverance in adversity.
There are more than 20 varieties of koi fish that differ in color, patterns and type of scales. Koi fish have a life span ranging from 30 to 60 yearsKoi fish are omnivorous and will eat anything from meat to green vegetables.




You will first draw on paper and then on your drawing pad. 
After you draw your koi fish, add some lily pads to help balance the space.

Fnally, use crayons to draw the outline of the fish and lily pads and use watercolor
